Congratulations again to steveb1 but the real winners are of course the children.
The mathematicians amongst you will have worked out that at £ 7.00 per horse and 40 runners you will have raised £ 280.00. But you need to factor in the generosity of CBF members which continually astounds me. The total you have raised is in fact £ 342.00 !
It would be remiss of me of course not to thank scunner for providing the platform for this event.
In passing, may I just observe that on this particular occasion and despite support from the usual participants I failed to persuade enough “members” to fill a list of 40, that 10 % of the numbers were taken by member’s spouses and that in the end I had to rely on two members “mopping up” remaining numbers. Ah well hey-ho.
On behalf of the kids a massive thank you to everyone who took part.
