Can you imagine someone having the balls to take your bag and walk past you with it? It's a little reminder to be vigilant at this time. And to put a distinguishing mark on the luggage. My old ma-in-law always had a luminous pink sock tied to hers, bless her soul. Good idea now I have read this.

But that would mean I was walking about with only one sock. People would think that was odd.

If you want to be cool, you could use a luminous green sock on the other foot.

It wasn't a simple question.  It was suggesting that, on the basis of third hand information from a Tripadvisor posting, that hand luggage may not be covered by (in this case Tesco Bank) travel insurance.

Over the years CBF members have come to rely on this forum providing accurate information in respect of many aspects of living in Turkey, holidaying in Turkey and travelling to and from Turkey.  Some members are less "worldly" than others and when they read stuff like this will a) believe it and b) go on to propagate a completely misleading piece of information - they may even go so far as to change/cancel a Tesco policy.  That is the power of CBF.

It took two minutes to verify that this piece of third hand information, from a commercial forum, is nonsense.

It's no different to the "I read it on Facebook therefore it must be true" type of posts.

If you post gossip/rubbish/nonsense/Facebook rumours you are certainly not helping members...

The person in question had a Tesco's Everyday Value Insurance.  This requires an extra premium to insure personal  belongings in luggage.   This is why Tesco's will not pay them out.     Now, that seems like nonense to me..
However, it seems that if we read anything on a Forum say...T.A or CBF. Then we should not believe it because people who write on forums never tell the truth.
I would also say that most people would not rush to cancel their insurance, they would check it out first.

Colwyn - you can't wear two odd socks.

You recently posted that you wanted to squash the rumour that you had mixingmetoeses.
