Thinking of the many goals that would fit quite well into the "Best Premiership Goals" topic, I hit upon a bit of confusion.
I was remembering a goal that in truth I regularly remember - Liam Brady's bending effort against Spurs (cue Motty with "look at that, just look at that!" etc.)
Truth is, it was one of the best goals I ever saw. But I looked to see if it was on youtube and it it was. Watching it, it is a good goal but not as great as I remember.
Nobody could do what Brady could at that time (I think??!!) - has ball and boot technology allowed more players to achieve similar in modern times?
If that goal was on MotD tonight, we'd admire to a degree and forget forever - but this was a goal of the century back then!!
