lets have it right Wenger was after any big name player that he could get, if he hadnt got ozil he would have looked a fool after publicly banding the biggest names in football about.

he ended up with a midfielder when he wanted a forward, he has got away with it for now....

Feel free to answer the question I asked :D

We seem to have a misunderstanding - I am referring to the style of football Arsenal play - and Wenger stays true to that style - pass and move - "one touch football" that at its best is exquisite - but as I said I have always thought maybe a touch over elaborate - but at times wonderful to watch :D

No misunderstanding Sir - if he was to win it without ditching his principles he may not be ditching his tactical principles but absolutely ditching his 'socialist' principles on transfer fees and wages. The two together mean he cannot win it this year without compromising his principles   :)

It's all relative - he has still spent considerably less than his rivals  :)

Squad Cost 13/14

Team Squad Costs

Chelsea £373,300,000

Man City £369,600,000

Man Utd £312,200,000

Tottenham £206,200,000

Liverpool £186,550,000

Arsenal £182,425,000

Considerably less ........................................^-^ - maybe catching up slightly but it is still about the football he plays - when they scored "that" goal at the weekend he looked like a proud father saying - "that is wot I av been telling u to do" - priceless  :)

I agree with you Ian, and the man has bought some of the greatest bargains (and sold on at the greatest profits) as well. I am not anti-Wenger, far from it.
