It’s time for this annual fundraiser which members have kindly made a success since 2013.
(I am acutely aware that members dug deep recently to honour Stuart MacDonald but I’m really hope they can make this a success again because it's for the children.)
If you haven’t taken part before here’s how it works.
I have randomly allocated a number to the 25 days from the first to the twenty-fifth of December.
You choose a number(s) and I put your name against the date(s).
Behind each door of the calendar is a monetary amount – 10 x £ 6’s, 10 x £11’s, 4 x £ 16’s and 1 x £ 21.
By choosing a number(s) you agree to donate the amount behind the door. You can of course donate more .
I will open a door each day starting on the first to reveal the amount behind the door and the name of the person who was allocated that day.
There is, of course, absolutely no obligation to take part.
But if you have benefited from advice freely given and/or enjoyed reading the Forum please consider taking part. It is for what I believe to a very good cause - helping kids who have very little.
PS As with previous years I am hoping that we can fill two calendars.

Helping students through University
Hearing Aids for children
Special help for children with learning difficulties
Brain MRI for a young child with cancer
Special wheelchair for a young child who was electrocuted
Money for special needs schools (this is an ongoing project).
Special shoes for a severely disabled children

And some people thought Brexit was complicated.
Basically jan deli, I randomly allocated the numbers 1 to 25 to the days 1st to 25th December. For example the number 3 was allocated to the 1st of December and number 10 to the 2nd of December. You chose 12 which was allocated to the 15th of December.
It seemed like a good idea at the time when we started this in 2013. I thought it might keep people more interested over the 25 days. :).

So, to wrap this up for another year………..
1. A very big thank you to scunner for providing the platform that makes it possible.
2. And a massive thank you to these wonderful people.
Dennis Vint, phil5257, strange, swindsor, ianK, bewva, bells, fran, trainer, stortman, jan deli,, mikeandpat, steveb1, AOK, yakamoz, mickinblack, liz101, marina, incir, lynnj, pi55y, captain squiffy, suzyq and TOSH TOSH.
In November I set out with the hope of filling two calendar. I failed in that but yet again I hadn't reckoned with the fantastic generosity of CBF members who, with a little cajoling (and once again I sincerely hope it was only that), stepped up to to the plate and contributed more than was asked for.
All of which means that on your behalf I will be transferring £ 527.00 to the 3 C’s. With the exchange rate as it is that is more in lira than last year.
PS Hopefully I will see you all around about March/April for the Grand National Sweepstake.e.

You all never cease to amaze me! Thanks to Highlander, you have all done it yet again. Thank you so much. It makes such a difference to what the 3C's can achieve in helping local disadvantaged and sick children.
