Mervyn Davies has passed away.

A great rugby player and character.

Sad news indeed, tremendous player and captain, leading by example, looking almost "gangly" due to his build, easily spotted in his trademark white head strapping and thick black moustache, but he read the game with an uncanny ability and was as hard as nails !, RIP "Merv the Swerv", you will forever be remembered in Welsh Rugby folklore.

..........and would have had many more H, if not for the tragic incident when he suffered a brain haemorrhage playing for Swansea in 1976.
