Permission to go out of Turkey by leaving UK car now easier
« on: December 27, 2019, 05:29:08 AM »
Leaving Turkey by leaving the car is forbidden and you need to get permission from customs offices.
Each time you need to go to customs and get a special document that you can leave the country by leaving the car here.
If you don't have this permission at the airport they will not let you out and you will  miss your flight.
Now this service started to given by Turkish Governments official web site

www.e-devlet.gov.tr

You can go to PTT get an e-devlet password and do the process online from your home.

Resident expats can come to Turkey with their cars from origin country and keep them here up to 24 months.
Before only pensioners have this rights. Since  10 months also non pensioner resident expats can keep their cars up to 24 months.
When you come with your car at the customs they will give you 1-3 months duration and put a stamp on passport that you have entered Turkey with car and mention the duration.
On the last 2 day of duration, you need to go to customs office in your province (Fethiye, Marmaris,Dalaman etc) and have it extended. They will ask for a new insurance policy to extend it.
