Title: Water bills

Has there been an increase in the price of the water or maybe a set fee to pay this month.
Iv just has a text and the amount is more then Iv ever paid ( and Iv not been at house for a month)

They have added a "Garbage collection and transport" cost to the bill. ( you can see it as : iLÇE BELEDiYESi KATIK ATIK TOPLAMA - TAŞIMA BEDELi ) .

The metropolitan municipality ( MUĞLA ) collects it in the name of local municipalities ( Fethiye in our case ).

This is the TOP complaint of all citizens in this area nowadays.

Ok thank you so much for the info, I’m guessing this will be for all house owners wether you live in Turkey or just holiday few times a year, which again I’m guessing will cause some probs for folk who only use their home few times and dont have a direct debit set up if they will now be receiving a monthly bill.

You can pay the water bills from the UK on this website https://odeme.muski.gov.tr/Giris/Index/?returnURL=/Borc/Index using a credit card.

I checked and paid our bill yesterday. About 24tl added for this plus a monthly standing charge for water I think. Total came to 36tl.

I pay by Revolut card as I can pay in TL without any problem.

Need to check every month now though which is a pain but hey ho.

Thank you Madmart for the link mine is by DD but handy for folk who don’t pay this way.

It’s a wee but naughty when these things are done fair does it’s only a small amount to pay but would have been nice to know it’s happening like you say Stoop “hey ho” and welcome to Turkey   :)

How did that little phrase "Hey Ho" creep into our vocabulary?  Has it replaced "so what" or "never mind" or "there you are?"  I"m not sure that I like it, but "Hey Ho" I suppose I'll have to get used to it!   :-\

Just checked our water bill today on the MUSKI site and we have nothing owing. As we last paid 21/12/2019 I would have expected to see a charge for the sewage if it was to be a monthly occurrence.

Anyone else paid it this month?
