Day 4 of the hire car, interesting to say the least!

Straight drive up to Uzumlu, this time staying on the main road towards Cameli. The valley below Uzumlu was quite badly flooded, not sure if this is normal or not. Climbed the long steep hill up to Tuzlabeli (spelling as per Google) or is it Tuzla Beli (spelling as per the road sign)? where there was the 1st signs of some snow. As we reached the summit we found lots of the white stuff, fun driving on the untreated roads, well some were roads, some were more like mud tracks!

Carried on towards Cameli diverting to explore villages such as Kirazliya, Emecik, Gokceyaka, Ericek, Sarikavak & finally Akpinar where we came unstuck a tad. The road was blocked by a landslide so had to double back on ourselves to the main road at Kirazliya.

Back south through the snowy summit of Tuzla again, this time the roads were awash with cars, vans, dolmuses, coaches, you name it! Families were having a great day out in the snow, bbq's were the order of the day, nearly a smog lol. Saw something that will always remind me of Tuzla, sadly couldn't stop to take a picture as the road was very narrow & slippery. Approx 50 white plastic sun chairs lined along the road side with a coach load of pensioners having cay & lunch, will the Turks ever cease to amaze me?

Turned right at Nif, went through the villages of Arpacik, Darryeri, Cogmen, Bozbel, Tasbasi, Elcik, Sabunlu, Karacaoren, Gokceovacik before finally finding the main road nr Gocek. Nif was not as I expected, it will be beautiful when the cherry blossom is on the trees but in February it's very bland & nondescript.

The last few miles were a bit heart stopping, hire car was running on fumes, all downhill sections were coasted to save fuel lol, got to the bottom of the hill & it was certainly close to being empty, ho hum, all adds to the fun!

Day off tomorrow, going into Fethiye for a nice roast Sunday lunch & a beer, drivers perks! Oh yes, need to get the car cleaned, in a word it's minging!

beautiful pictures once again. Youve certainly made good use of that car, what brilliant adventures. I would have loved to have seen the pensioners picnicing on their white chairs.
