Selimye & surrounding area

Went here in 2007, enjoyed it - went back in 2012, absolutely loved it!

The rain stopped just as I drove into the village & the sun shone for the duration of the stay, much longer than planned as found so much to enjoy, including a fantastic lunch (late Valentines day scoff!) in a most beautiful restaurant. If you get a chance I'd thoroughly recommend this area, Selimye is gorgeous & the coastline around is stunning.

Was advised the sea is "always" calm in the bay, not sure how true that is but the water is certainly crystal clear & was very calm on the day I visited, maybe it's sheltered from the open sea in some way?

As with my trip to Bozburun I was here in 2007, quite a few changes, as far as I could see they were for the better.

As normal, pics are low resolution for ease of uploading to FB, please excuse the slight grainy look to them & you do not need to be a subscriber to FB to view, they are public images.

Selimye has changed a lot in the last three years they have done a good job of smartening it up, The sardunye is an excellent restaurant
and one of the few that stays open all year  :)
