Title: Hip Joint Replacement

Any one on here had a hip replacement done locally?

Do they do ceramic + SS?

My wife fell and broke her hip and she had a metal replacement at the Esnaf hospital,
Not sure what metal, but had a xray in UK, they told her it was  very good job,

 No sorry don't know the cost,as it was done through the insurance,but it was seven years ago,
And price sure to have changed quite a lot,

Hubby had new hıp 5 years ago and ıt would have cost approx 13.500tl wıth no insurance. We had SGK and it cost 1800tl.

Many years ago I worked for ICI Metals division and one section used to cast various limb joints in Titanium.
The rough castings were sent elsewhere for machining.I assumed Titanium was still being used.

had  a hip replacement 9 months ago in the letoon hospital with DR OSMOND.  1st class very clean and looked after well. went to develt first very costly half the price in letoon. had no insurance the cost was 17.500 lira cheaper than private in england. never been to esnaf so i have no veiws of the hospital. wish you all the best where ever you go. mick a friend of mine has had is hip done a few months ago . seeing how well a woman coped with the operation. he is doing well.  they show the replacement and tell you what you want to know.

Hubby got hıs old hıp joınt returned to hım ın a plastıc bag after the op. Probabaly to show ıt was damaged and the op was needed. lol.

I used to hang out in a hip joint but the police closed it down.      8)
