To put things straight I’ve been past the Sensatori once on my bike. I failed to catch any of the beers being slung over the wall  ;)

To put things even straighter - I am not in favour of yet another huge AI hotel on our doorstep which will no doubt reduce peoples cycling options as well as spawn another staff accommodation complex.

We did cycle past the new site last week and it seems quite a way back from the beach. My guess is the small cove that is frequented by many locals will become private. Sad if that happens.

The current building work next to Sensatori is not The Residence but part of the Lykia Group & will be a Thomas Cook Sensido resort.  The Residence will be at the other side of Sensatori on the land that is already fenced off next to the hotel!

So two new hotels going up!

They must think there’s a market for people able to afford luxury 5 star holidays.
People do want more than basic hotels but at a reasonable cost. All inclusive isterrible for the
local economy if any resort.

The new Barut one is to be on the left of the Sensatori and the third one will be on the right.

The Residence is supposed to open next May. They start building it in October. Would you risk booking? Especially at these prices:

“We went to book this today and nearly had heart attack 13th may for 3 adults £5100, absolutely gutted as this is way over our budget, so we booked the original one for 2800 for 3 xxx”

Think I might swerve this one  ;)
