Post by: stoop on February 24, 2021, 09:18:20 AM
The nhs site is now accepting over 60’s. You can go on and book both appointments.

We’ve now got both ours booked before 17th May which is when we are due to fly.

Get in!

Just ignore the age and book. We have friends under 64 who had their jab today.

It’s been reported in our local paper today that over 60’s can now book via the NHS website.

Maggie had hers this morning and we got back to find her invite on the door mat 😂

You can’t ignore the age as you must enter your d.o.b or fit one of the other criteria there’s no way of jumping the queue and neither should there be

Most of my 60-65 friends & family have been able to book a vaccine online in the last two days. No problem. One friend 60+ who wanted to wait to get her vaccine at her surgery received her invitation letter from the NHS today so definitely no queue jumping.

Just walked in the door from my jab...the NHS page on the website hasn't been updated, but the age has been dropped to 60+ now. Did it myself after reading on this forum. First jab done 20m ago and second on 14May; looking for a flight from 17May!

I think the vaccine becomes fully effective  two weeks after the second injection.
