Calling All Golfers
« Reply #10 on: November 03, 2011, 09:42:17 AM »
I see the cynics are out, guys all I am trying to do is gage the amount of expat golfers/would be in the Fethiye area. I am in the process of putting together a business plan to attempt and I say attempt to build firstly a small driving range. The later of course depends on me gathering good facts and figures, to determine the viability
I am a British PGA Professional who is looking to move out full time to Turkey, but I do not want to retire!!
I have taught the game and managed golf facilities for the past 36 years but now would prefer to build & run my own, near to my property in the Fethiye area.
Any assistance would be  much appreciated. :)

Good luck with your venture Stuart. Given that you have a place in Fethiye, I assume you are familiar with the employment rules in Turkey. hope that does come across as condescending.

I think it's a good idea.
I think you should look at the usage of other sports training facilities
in the area, ie, bowls, tennis, Gym's and Ten pin bowling.
Of course if they do happen to ever finnish the course at Dalaman
then interest would grow.
I was amazed at the golfers from all over Europe flowing through
Antalya airport.
Good Luck
