I have an old tofas car it goes ok but the auto choke  seems to be staying on ,it does have a Manuel one as well does anyone know if you can disconnect the auto one and how easy is to do or does it have to go to garage .

I've not known cars to ever have two choke systems, would have thought the auto would have been disconnected when the "Manuel" system was fitted or vice versa. If its manual get someone to operate it and see if the mechanism on the carburetor is returning to its off position fully,if not try to see why its stuck, perhaps cable has run out of travel or is adjusted incorrectly,or could be dry and siezed, if its siezed try WD40 and work it till it frees off,auto will be more difficult to check.

Just cut the cable to it Lance. But make sure you use insulated cutters and disconnect the battery.
