"Anything less than this is not fair treatment of those of us who wish to be "residents" of the country we have chose to live in and be a part of."
Good grief:(
-
They have probably run out of Visa stamps, as they used them up last year, and nobody has ordered any new ones. ;)
-
I would take little notice of some amateur small time online newspaper, brings back memories of a certain paper many years ago that reported a world war 2 bomber was found on the moon.
Istanbul airport is quite happily enforcing the law.
-
Come on Starman, don't hold back, tell us what you really think of the Aegean Independent. ;)
-
Was there no World War 2 bomber on the moon then?

In what way Starman. Are they applying the rule retrospectively to the 90 day visas which used a 90/180 stamp?
-
They are going by what is implemented today. 3 months in 3 months out.

Does this mean if you stay for one week in the beginning of june you can not return until Sept ?
This was taken from the fethiye Times today
The End of an Era - The Visa Run
The new rules bring Turkey into line with the Schengen Visa rules that are in operation in many countries around the world.
Under those rules the holders of a C-type visas, like the Turkish Tourist visa, are allowed to stay in the Schengen area for a maximum of 90 days in a 180-day period.
Holders must then leave before the 90 days and cannot return for another 91 days. The visa cannot be renewed by exiting and entering the area in less than 91 days.
So after months of doubt, confusion and, in some cases hope, we reach the end of the visa run and the end of an era of free and easy movement in and out of Turkey.

I can't take it anymore
-
Sometimes I wonder why I say the samething month after month...

Yes it brings Turkey into line with the Countries who have signed up to all aspects of the Schwengen agreement but your interpretation of how it operates is completely wrong as it suggests that there must be a gap of 91 days between the last of your 90 days and rentering the country.
Within the 180 days that your visa lasts you are allowed to enter and leave as often as you like as long as the total number of days in Turkey does not exceed 90. If the last or any of your 90 days in Turkey is day 180 of your visa you leave that day and can re-nter and get a new visa the next day on what is numerically day 181

Actually it isn't anyone on CBF being slow, it's the clumsy way things are being reported.
