Well i think the weather has finally done its job, rain, rain, and more rain, the upside down bridge is been demolished and a new one been built,a round trip for the dolmus,s at the moment, and what a mess the canal banks are in at the moment. and who knows we might even get decent street lighting along the road now ;) :)

Ive been watching the last couple of days and wondered if it might be demolished, all the roads dug up and plenty of heavy plant about, can only be good for the area.

It will be like the dolphinless roundaboutless roundabout.
The upsidedown that isn't bridge:D

All our heritage is being destroyed

Not actually there Des but I take your point ;)

Sorry for the daft question, but which one is the upside drown bridge and how did the name come about?
-
The upside down bridge is the one across the road from Serinkent (past the original Palms restaurant). It was given the name because the road is quite high either side of the canal, but the bridge was built below that level - leading to water flowing over the top of it when it rains, as shown in the picture I am just about to search for. It must be the only bridge that is lower than the road it serves.

Thanks Keith,
Know it well, love riding my bike over it, always turns me back into a kid because I can't resist taking my feet off the pedals and shouting "Weeeeeeeeeeeee" for some strange reason.
Calis finished well before this bridge when we first came, cant believe the amount of property now built beyond the bridge, most of which looks to be empty.

Is this a recent photo, Keith - my villa is abou 150yards from here!

No, definitely not this year.
