Has anyone made an up-to-date 'How to do it yourself' Residency Renewal?

As far as I'm aware, the renewal process is exactly the same as the initial residency process & there's loads of info on the current process on the search facility. The only difference is that you don't need to buy another blue book

Phil is doing his renewal next week as he has a new passport now.  When we went to the Passport Police for the form they told us you no longer have to go Kaptain's across the road (I think that's what it's called) to fill in the form,  We were given a website and you fill it in online, using font size 12 in black bold.  Fingers crossed they don't change things meantime :-\

Online form...

I would check it's a secure site before entering anything.

When Phil went with all his paperwork to the passport office to renew his residency he was told they wouldn't accept the copy of our tapu as it was out of date.  Apparently if the tapu is 8 years old or more you need to get another stamp on it.  The tapu department in the goverment building eventually did this for him although it was obvious to us it was news to them as well!

I suspect that www.fethiye.pol.tr  is as secure as you are going to get.

i didnt need to show any bank statements to get it either, although i did need a document stamped from the notar instead.  :)
