Title: English Qualifications recognised in Turkey?
Post by: Hellzbellz on October 11, 2012, 08:29:51 AM
Not sure if this is the right section, if not I appologise.

Does anyone know if Turkey recogise English diplomas for Counselling and Hypnotherapy. If they do where would I enquire about obtaining a work permit to be allowed to practise and the legalities for Insurance and further training? Have searched Google and can only find info on teaching.

You will find lots here in the search section regarding work permits but I think you will find that it would be almost imposible to obtain one.

Work permits are not impossible to get. You just need to be in the right industry. I have one and so does my wife.
There are however, certain sectors that are off limits to foreigners like engineers, lawyers, hairdressers etc and this you will need to check.

Why don't you send an email to the Turkish Consulate in London with regard to both issues, if there is no answer to them already on the site.
(would post the link but, forgotten it, sorry.)

Why don't you contact this organisation and make an enquiry to them?  http://www.hipnozturkiye.com/  also, contact the local private hospital's Psychiatric services to ply your trade, work permit would not be an issue, I think, if you had a major employer at your back or an organisation who would want to use your services. Also, more locally, Sister's Place at the fish market might be able to give you some advice??
