Title: Very sad that this place has closed
Post by: Jacqui Harvey on April 16, 2017, 12:19:24 PM
Levissi Garden has closed down.  I always thought this restaurant was in such a good place right on the Rock Tombs.  I wonder what has happened?
T.A. Page now recording it has Closed.

Probably priced themselves out of the market.

Is it definitely closed? Coming out in June and was looking forward to a meal here

Don't believe everything you read on that site, but I can confirm that it is not and the owner is not happy that this rumour has started.

Fake news on Trip Adviser, surely not!   ;)

The message on T.A said "Closed Permanently". Reviews where taken down.  There was a message in Turkish from "The Management " that it was now permanently  closed.
However, thanks to the members on T.A. Advisor.  The restaurant was informed of the news on T.A. So, the Restaurant Page was opened again and reviews can now be added.  Seems like someone  had been posing as the Management, to get the page closed.  Alternatively, perhaps the Management changed their minds and decided to keep the place open?
It may be a good idea if you have a business advertised on T.A with reviews, you should perhaps keep an eye on it to make sure it has not been closed down.   ;) ;D

Surely T.A should have verified the facts before say "Closed Permanently".

You'd have thought that one of their so-called "experts" would have done that at least.

Its very sad when stories like this appear and rumours then start about a business, maybe in future this should be checked with the hotel or business concerned before its announced by people.

But it was Trip Adviser? Where we all go to find out stuff about holidays. Who checks the checkers. Naughty.

Yes, very naughty, but good the members spotted this and asked, which seem to have alerted the owner, who did not realise someone had closed his place.  I hope he complains and get to the bottom of this, as Trip Advisor know where their mail is coming from and whoever did this should be in trouble.
Also, their experts are not paid, they are not staff.  It is up to T.A. Staff to check out posts.    ;)  :)

I don't use Trip Advisor - not since I read a report rubbishing the best hotel I have stayed in (not that I have stayed in many).

And I agree with sunlover people should.....

Ate at Levissi last week. Promised them I'd post to confirm not only has it not closed down, but that the food & service were as good as ever.
Also picked us up, and returned us, to Hisaronu.
Long may they continue.
