It’s that time of the year again folks. Members have kindly made this a success since 2013 and I’m really hoping it will be so in 2017.
If you haven’t played before here’s how it works.
I have randomly allocated a number to the 25 days from the first to the twenty-fifth of December.
You choose a number and I put your name against the date.
Behind each door of the calendar is a monetary amount – 10 x £ 5’s, 10 x £10’s, 4 x £ 15’s and 1 x £ 20.
By choosing a number you agree to donate the amount behind the door. You can of course donate more :)
I will open a door each day starting on the first to reveal the amount behind the door and the name of the person who was allocated that day.
There is, of course, absolutely no obligation to take part.
But if you have benefited from advice freely given and/or enjoyed reading the Forum please consider taking part. It is for what I believe to a very good cause - helping kids who have very little.
PS If we fill one calendar, fear not. We will open another. :)

Well thanks to following members we now have a full calendar. Many thanks all :) :) :)
ianK, incir, badger, swindsor, kevin3, steveb1, holmej, bewva, fran, bells, captain squiffy, pi55y, yokamoz, AOK, suzyq and marina.
But wouldn't it be splendid if, especially at this time of year, we could raise more money for kids who have very little.
So if some-one, other that those listed above, wants to start us off I will start another calendar.

Thanks kevin3 (and marina) - it's a very fine line between doing the best for the kids and appearing to be badgering good people. I can only hope I didn't cross it by starting the second calendar.
Thanks to all of the contributors we are ready to go tomorrow with two calendars.
Just two things if i may - firstly, please remember the number(s) you chose are not the day(s). Your number was allocated randomly to the days from tomorrow to the twenty-fifth. So you will have to continue to tune in until Christmas Day. :)
Secondly, I am naturally extremely grateful to everyone who has agreed to donate the amount behind each door.
But if you feel even more generous it will all go to the wonderful 3C's and will allow them to help under privileged kids.
And if you have missed out on picking a number and want to give kids you don't know something this Christmas feel free to pm me and I'll let you know how to.

In November I set out with the hope of filling one calendar. But yet again I failed to reckon with the fantastic generosity of CBF members who, with a little cajoling (and I sincerely hope it was only that), not only went on to fill a second calendar but then contributed more than was asked for.
There was also a small residue from the Stuart MacDonald (aka Rod Stewart) Presentation monies.
All of which means that on your behalf I will be transferring £ 628.00 to the 3 C’s.
PS Hopefully see you all around March for the Grand National Sweepstake and in June for the FIFA World Cup in June.

That is a fantastic amount jolly well done all and to Highlander for taking the time to do it all I didnt participate as I donated money to animal aid at Christmas instead, I did buy some bits in the 3C's shop Monday so thats a kind of contribution ;)

Just to say a big thank you to bevsie56 who for personal reasons couldn’t make her donation for the two numbers she had taken at the time. I had completely forgotten about it.
