Thanks to Nichola for taking photographs of the delivery day for the washing machines paid for by a certain group of folk right here on CBF...so here goes:

This will make a hell of a difference to these families
Hope you enjoyed seeing what your amazing donations actually resulted in, this isn't putting money in an envelope or in a tin at the supermarket and never quite knowing what happened to it - your money (100% of it) has been used to bring a little lift to families who haven't had that feeling much at all in recent times.
Thanks to the wonderful Bekir at Eren Spot for doing the charity a good deal which allowed them to buy better quality machines. Bekir has always been such an amazing supporter of such fundraisers - I remember walking in and asking him for a telly for a previous event "oh, and I want it free" -- Bekir: "Which one, you choose it". Plus people should really use him not for this but because he is the best on price and service anyway...
Thanks to Nichola and the others who give their time freely to try and assist wherever they can with the refugees - without them there would be no washing machines because we wouldn't know anything about the families or the conditions they are living in (without complaint it must be said).
And thanks so much again to CBF members - without you there would DEFINITELY be no washing machine deliveries :)
Oh, and finally - the kids holding something I mentioned. As if a new Hotpoint isn't enough, Bekir's men gave all the kids 5 lira each. Stunning.

Stunning - pure and simple !
-
Well done.
-
Just bloody wonderful.
Thank you.

Cay for the workers
Ah, I just saw on FB, Syrian coffee for the workers :)

Not sure what is meant by that.
-
It's very simple.
Refugee Aid Fethiye asked for help. CBF helped. No committees to negotiate, no ego's to massage, no forms to fill out and no parent Turkish organisations to ask permission from. Job done with the minimum fuss.

It was wonderful to deliver 4 brand new washing machines to four families last week.
This isn't something that we can do very often, so it was a rare pleasure to see the joy on the families faces when we turned up. Fortunately everyone was at home when we called.
Bekir and team were great, as Keith has already said.
And all of you that contributed are just awesome, as too is Keith for taking the initiative to organise this. Thank you very much.
Normally we rely on donations of second hand children's clothes and kitchen and household stuff from our network of locals and visitors to the area to support the families and to help make their lives more comfortable; and sometimes individuals will purchase items for a particular family.
If you are genuinely interested in what else we do, or would like to help as and when you can with donations, and you are on Facebook, you're welcome to join our relatively small secret Facebook Group.
You need to be added by an existing member that is a friend of yours on FB, or if you have a mutual friend that is already a member of the group they can be asked to add you.
If you contact me via FB Messenger I can check that out.
Anyway, once again thank you very much on behalf of the families for your generous donations.

If you want to keep things really secret, you could always use the ByLock messaging app ;)
