Hi Highlander, it went great for our first attempt thanks.  There is a full report and loads of photos on the carnival website www.caliscarnival.com

The food was great but the poor chef looked totally bemused when the haggis was stabbed!

With hindsight maybe it was a little too formal so next year we will reduce the length of the speeches and allow a bit more time for the dancing (and drinking :D)

Looks like a splendid evening and congratulations on fund raising.

We are intrigued by "the meal concluded with a delicious desert of fried ice cream". :)
