How much did you pay for them if you don't mind me asking?

We bought our bikes last September. We looked at Migros and all the shops in Fethiye around the market and top road. The majority of the bikes we looked at were cheap and good value in comparison to UK prices but were very basic. As Sinbad said - on Turkish roads you definately need shocks and a decent saddle. We finally found our bikes outside an electrical shop at the bottom end of the top road in Fethiye - I can't remember the make but its the same make as the police use.
They are really decent bikes - cost a bit more but worth every penny (lire)Mine cost about £90 and Brian's about £85.00.

Raff,

I can just imagine you two pedaling like mad with your blue lights flashing!

Or have I got the wrong Police? Does Sting have a mountain bike?

We don't have flashing blue lights unfortunately, but my bike is fitted with dynamo lights! I've remembered the make - "Bianchi" - sounds Italian but I'm not sure where they are made. Excellent bikes though - at least your arse isn't in shreds after cycling along the coast road to Fethiye! We also got a free servicing thrown in after we had used the bikes for a couple of weeks.

Bought 2 at Migros  last week 21 speed mountain bikes £65 each

There is a cycle shop on the Gunlabashi road (not spelt right) and they serviced both, put a basket on one and supplied a lock for £4
