They also look good if you trim the side branches off and grow them as a stardard, thats what we have done with ours and it's starting to look quite impressive.

They can grow to about 6ft or2 meteres high and spread quite a lot pruning is necessary but not too harshly.

Most plants will grow but for some reason the purple ones do better than any other colour.Roses get very straggly,
