There is a couple (Steph & Jac) who do regular runs to & fro the UK collecting such things from Argos etc at a reasonable cost, you order online or they will order in the UK for you, Jacs email is: shishcojackson@hotmail.com should anyone be interested. I have yet to use them personally but have been recommended to them.

HI Tony and Karen - well done on the big decision, MIke and I are doing the same we go in Feb next year but will be over for hols in Sept. We are not totally selling up but going to rent our house in the Uk for a year and see how we get on, we live in  Calis and have a 2 bed apartment and are taking our dog Rory with us.  Its all very exciting and we really hope it works out for us, its very positive hearing feedback from ex pats that have done it and dont regret.  Good Luck and hopefully we will meet up.

Bring a whirlygig washing line with you .....you can't get them here. We bought ours over as excess baggage.

It is also a highly illegal operation and if they are busted at the border you won't get your goods and I doubt there will be any chance of seeing your money back either.

Just a thought (and as we are not intending to move to Turkey it may have no validity) but if we were, I would like to think that we would want to buy from local traders whenever possible.

Thanks Keith, I haven't used them in the end, just hope the person I've booked my stuff with is ok!
