Tenner to get in the country
« on: July 05, 2011, 18:54:46 PM »
when I went to turkey many years ago, I remember having to pay £10 to get in to the country.  My then Irish boyfriend only had to pay £5 for some reason.  Do you still havve to pay this?  And can youpay in English currency or Turkish?

No it has to be English.  Majority of shops will not accept them either.

Irish nationals also pay a different rate - the last I recall was 10 euros (which used to be nearer £7 but is now not far off a tenner).
