« on: July 08, 2011, 11:36:35 AM »
Hi,does anybody know of anyone who does this service?.If you look in the instruction manual it says to get it serviced every two years, ours anyway. As being part time Uzumlu dwellers ,our cooler is not used continously,so was looking to have it sterilised and servised next time over.

Can't help with the servicing other than to say ours has been going for about seven years without.  It is however regularly sterilised. the way I do this is when the bottle is empty run the remaining water out of the machine and clean out the inside of the tap with a cotton bud or similar....you may be surprised by the gunge that is in there.
Fill the empty bottle with about a quarter of warm water and disolve in that a couple of Milton Tablets(same as you would use for sterilising babies bottles) Also use this for the tap cleaning process.  Put the old bottle back on with the Milton solution and let it soak for about half an hour and during this time just run a little solution through to sterilise the pipe to the tap a couple of times. Then drain the system until no more water comes out of the tap.  If you want to be really thorough you can fully drain the system with the drain plug at the back of the machine. Put a new bottle back on and run a couple of jugs through to remove any Milton taste not that it would do you any harm.  Job done!

Can those Milton tablets be got here in Turkey?
Ps I use Videne solution to sterilise and also campden tablets ( sodium metabisulphate ) to clean.

Not sure ...always sourced mine in the UK. I would have thought they or a substitute would be available here, after all they do have babies in Turkey:D
