I normally just wait anyway to avoid the crush but by then everyone has loaded up all the locker space already

Seat allocations - what are they ?

What about the "Easyjet Scrum" boarding system. Of course now there are 2 classes of "scrum" - paying extra for Speedy boarding gets you in scrum 1 or you can join scrum 2 at no extra charge.

To get a good seat it seems you need to be in scrum 1 and be at the boarding gate desk within 1.5 seconds of the gate staff keying the microphone.

I love the Easyjet ones where the "speedy boarders" smug their way to the front, disappear through, then when you get through there they are - waiting on the same bus as you are on - except being first onto it, they know they'll probably be last off when we get to the plane

Travelling with 2 young girls - we never paid for speedy boarding. However people soon moved when they observed us being split and the youngest (now 11) would start to cry!!!!
Who wants a distressed child next to them for 4 hours. She was never that bothered about who she sat with once she was seated as she talks to anyone and loved it when they could not escape. I thought I could talk for England but our dear daughter now wins every time. Mads by name Mad Maddy by nature.
