Abandoned dog

At the top water taps, just outside of Uzumlu on the way down to Fethiye, there is an abandoned dog that is in need of taking to the animal shelter. Recently, i have taken a few animals to the shelter, saying i found them in Fethiye, but i think i am begining to push my luck. I would hope someone would take her, she really is skin and bone. She answers to Turkish commands. I have a rescue dog, and a kitten i found that had been hit by a car, so i cant have any more. This dog needs help.

We are going down to Fethiye this morning will have a look if she is still there and try to take her down to the shelter .

One of the stray dogs in Uzumlu yesterday, boy dog, black & white was knocked down by a car on the main road and killed instantly outside the chemist - driver didn't stop!

This dog visited us and another neighbour a couple of times but hadn't been seen for a couple of weeks, and it always looked healthy and fed - so sad!

Went passed the watering hole this morning and managed to get the dog into the car. She was very thin and wolfed down the bread that we used to tempt her into the car.
Good news is that she is now down at the Rescue centre and being looked after  .

So sorry to hear about the dog killed outside the chemist, there are some callous people about .
