Alper at Garanti Bank
« on: May 10, 2013, 20:34:08 PM »
A big thanks once again to Alper (cbf member Banker).  Since leaving Turkey and returning to the UK my banking practises had got a little rusty to say the least.
I was surprised to learn that to stop 45Tl being taken from the account every 6 months because 2 direct debits were needed to ensure you are not charged,

When we left Turkey the Water Bill could not be paid by DD, so our account had been charged over the years, and to top it all I had cancelled the Electric Bill and input wrong numbers, so that is why I had to keep manually paying the bill and being fined every time.

Alper is a gentleman, and has the patience of a saint, good to know he is still around.

(keith, and there was me believing you when you said he was a waiter in Venice)!!!! ;D
