Met Volkan this week and he said he would be back in Calis on Thursday (yesterday) as he had finished in Icmeler and he an Jo hoped to look around for a new place.   So, fingers crossed for them both.

Mangal ?  :)

Oh so we can expect some posts from him then, telling us all he is going to do for us, what a man of virtue, whilst forgetting that he never thanked us the last time!! >:( >:(

You have to remember that members use CBF for different purposes - the fact that the owner of the now defunct VOJOs stopped posting on CBF once their place closed may be purely coincidental.

watch this space regarding the prom.

It wont just be the prom in Calis - property owners arent daft, most rental contracts are in EUR or USD.  Unfortunately, the bar and restaurant owners charge in TL and over the past twelve months the amount of lira they need to find to pay the rent has increased by nearly 28% - and thats before you take into account the higher prices for raw ingredients etc.

We all know who to thank for this situation...

Forgive me for stating the obvious but doesn't no furniture or drinks behind the bar suggest it HAS closed for the season? How does what you saw make it look like evidence that it hasn't?
