No it isn't, the article is a load of rubbish.

They are offering THREE aircraft out of a total fleet of SEVENTY SEVEN!  Some joker in an agency read their ad wrong and as usual, bad news travels fast.  Pegasus released a statement yesterday:

LONDON (11th October 2016) - Further to the recent erroneous news stories based on Pegasus Airlines advertisements which have inaccurately reported on the wet-lease of its aircraft, Pegasus Airlines would like to provide clarification that the airline currently is offering only 3 of its current fleet of 77 aircraft, of B737-800 and A320 types, for its long-term wet-leasing plans.

The advertisement in question referred to the Pegasus Airlines fleet of 74 aircraft - the fleet size at the time of the advertisement – purely in order to provide general information about the total Pegasus Airlines fleet size, not in relation to how many aircraft were available for wet-lease.

Pegasus is continuing to provide its scheduled service as normal across its domestic and international networks with the remaining 74 aircraft servicing 33 destinations in Turkey and 69 in the rest of the world in its network of 102 destinations in 40 countries.

In a similar vein, I see that THY have finally realised they're in danger of ending up in the sh1t and delayed delivery of the 167 shiny new Airbuses and Boeings they had on order for delivery over the next few years.   I wonder when they'll start quietly cutting back on destinations, all these daily flights to popular places such as Mogadishu and Kigali must be costing them a fortune.

Maybe they should all add Faro to their list. 15 years of holidaying here in Oct and massively busier than we have seen before.

Went to Lisbon yesterday and it was heaving as well.

No need.  You took the article at face value, just like many other did.

As far as the reporter who "broke" the story, anyone who knows their sh1t in Turkey would have known that Pegasus is kinda linked to the Sabanci family (who own about a quarter of Turkey!), and they don't do financial failure.

But hey ho, its an airline, they could go bust tomowwow!
