I'm wondering if anyone can help me im currently pointing my satellite dish at hotbird . I was hoping to move it to point at hippasat but am not sure whether i would be able to pick it up in turkey or if it is possible what size dish is needed

Hi,

I think you can buy satelite finders on ebay - don't know if it will help or not but they aren't that expensive.

you will need a 120cm dish for hispasat. Hispasat is 30Â°W and hotbird is 13Â°E, although nothing on hotbird worth watching.

Cheers for the replies .It's just that in the uk I have a motorised dish and get these satellites and since multivision is not as easy to get as they change the codes daily now. I find there is a lot more English channels on hippasat easily available .In Turkey I only have a 60cm dish pointing at hotbird .

From Fethiye Hispasat is only just above the horizon so the dish will need a clear view - no buildings in the way! Get Digiturk, its cheaper and less hassle all round.
