What do you have to sign up for in order to be able to switch your staelite tv system on and off throughout the season? Do you think you can do this with subscribing to the £10 a month package?

So I'm told  :)

That's the only package I've ever signed up for

Am I right in thinking Telmessos has its own big satellite dish, if so how does the system work? can you just plug into it or do you still need to register???

It's just there, you put your aerial lead into the wall socket and that's it.

You get BBC World and about 20 non-English channels, all in all pretty dire.

So Keith, let me get this right, are we right in thinking that once you have signed up for the basic £10 package that you only pay for the months that you are actually switched on or do you have to pay £10 a month even if you are not there?

So Pete, let me reply

I am informed that once you have been connected, you can ring and postpone the service (say from November to April). No you don't have to pay the £10 per month, that would be daft lol

Hi
I have just bought a TV with satelite "Hotbird" I am told that a "one off" payment will enable more channels. Anyone know if this is correct and if so, what extra English channels can I expect,  also would the £10 a month apply to "Hotbird" please.  Thanks   Keith

Hi,
As you know Sky Digital Package was broadcasting from only Astra Satalites 19 degree and Fethiye Region is out of coverage area.(needs 3m satalite dish)
Now Sky Digital is broadcasting also from Eurobird 1 28.5 degree( http://www.lyngsat.com/eb1.html ) and you can view  them by a 120 cm satalite dish.
Cost of 120 cm satalite dish and instalatinon is  35-40 GBP. You can bring your Sky Box and watch here.

Hi,
I live in Turkey and want to know if it is possible to use digibox sold in uk here in Turkey via eurobird satalite. If it is Which channels are available. Do we have to use digibox receivers or can use any digital receiver (if yes which CI modul needed). There is many British people living here in Mugla-Fethiye. If you give subscription in Turkey you will have many customers.
