Is there a particular person or shop who can set it all up for us when we get there as we are pretty rubbish at anything remotely technical?  A few British channels would be good.

Thanks Anne.  We shall certainly do that when the time comes.  I presume you contact him by sending a message via this forum and just typing in "Echostar" and it will get there?  So sorry about being so unfamiliar with how this works but computers and things are all very new to us.

Thanks Echostar.  We will be in touch during October I think.  We are expecting to exchange contracts on our sale here in the UK next week with completion before the end of October.  We are coming out w/c 23 September to view properties in Calis so hope to have somewhere to live in Calis by the end of October and will contact you as soon as we have.  I can't go too long without some British TV!

I remember being convinced that one of the free boxes with a 1.5m motorised dish was the way to go - turn the dish to face all the different satellites and there are no end of English channels.

We spent the next 3 months watching cheaters, the ITV News Channel, and Cartoon Network in French.
