« on: May 22, 2012, 14:41:56 PM »
A CLEETHORPES man, who is a full-time carer for his disabled wife and son, has vowed not to travel abroad again after a holiday horror.

Colin Binns, 42, received more than £1,000 compensation after his dream holiday turned into a nightmare, which left him fearing for his life.
The carer from Cosgrove Street, spent two days in quarantine after being struck down with severe food poisoning while in the Turkish resort of Hisaronu.

The experience has left him so shaken that this year's family holiday will be a break to Scarborough where he's going to relive the experience with "shabby accommodation with poor facilities" and serving "vile, grotty, re-heated food".

:D ;):D

Turkey trots...what is his problem ???????
He would be confined if he went to hospital with Diarrhoea to prevent spread.

Hey - don't compare His to Scarborough or I'll send the boys round ;)

What I can't understand is why he didn't ask for a move to another hotel? We had a similar experience in Majorca many years ago and we only stayed one night! I told the rep to either move us or we would move ourselves and sue them for the cost. We moved the same day and got a much better hotel - and £100 compensation when we returned home.

Two days later the hotel was closed down and all the guests ended up with us anyway :)

Just read some of the remarks.  Somehow I was not surprised. Although I di wonder why a woman with epilepsy needed a husband with her at all times.  It would be cheaper to train a dog to support her.
