Hi we are a couple with 3 kids all at school age. We are in the process of purchasing a property in Calis. I believe there is a private school in either Calis or nearby. if anyone has any info or an opinion i would be interested thanks xxx

Yes there is a private school in Fethiye
which my niece attends, the fees were around
£1500 per year I am not sure how much they have
gone up. Its seem a very nice school when she started there
2 years ago she spoke no turkish and there was only one other child
who spoke some English. She was fluent speaking in 2months
and after 3 months fluent in reading and writing I still suspect
that the teacher spoke English but chose not to!

Our partners have a 12-yr old son who had a look at the school last week. They were very impressed with it.
The numbers are small which means the kids better more attention from the teachers.
A friend of ours got us to buy the Turkish lesson books that the kids use - looks very good even for those past school age! The young ones soon pick up the language.
Costs were quoted around the £1600pa with additional costs as with schools in the UK for certain activiites.
We have bought in Zummerkent in Calis and there is transport for the children at a reasonable cost. We do hope to be full time residents next year.
