We bought in Calis last year
I found this web site by chance I have read with interest some of the events that have happend to other members of this group.
It is good that this type of forum can be pulled together, It allows othe members to hear of good things and bad thing that have happened to people buying property in Turkey.
We were not so lucky I am afraid to say. The agent that we picked to act for us was more than a little underhanded. It took us a lot hard time to eventually secure our TAPU. In the mean time we have allegedly found out that this agent has 13 English peoples deeds all in his wifes name in his safe.
We were lucky we got ours.
Please be aware of this man. He so call trades under the name of STAVROS and he will surley inflate the prices to make an outrageous profit for himself.
We have since heard that he is trading on Calis beach front.
We are du to come back to calsi later this year so we will pop into the forum groups.
I have had work done on my villa and I was very happy with the work and the Turkish builder who completed the work. His prices were very reasonable and he said he would be willing to come back to do any other works required.
It has been a steep learning curve buying abroad. However we have also met a lot of really nice people
