Hello to you all, my name is Douglas and my wife's name is Hilary. We moved to Turkey; after holidaying here for about six years, exactly one year ago. We found a very nice house in Uzumlu and have been very happy here having made many ex-pat and Turkish friends in that time. We try to be involved as much as possible with the village and have found that everyone is helpful and friendly. We now spend most of our time entertaining visitors out here to relax in the Turkish sun away from the UK and Gordon Brown. Life here is good, having become used to (in part) to the Turkish ways, we have decided it is best to just go with the flow, as we have lots of time. So we look forward to many more years in this beautiful country and know that we will enjoy it. Having brought two dogs out with us we get plenty of exercise in the forest walking them (I do anyway!!), Hilary stays in bed as I have to go off early when it is still cool. Anyway that's us and we hope to live the good life in Turkey.
