I would not like it at all Stoop.
But if I did, I would still like to have a sense of humour.

and please keep your sense of humour Tony, we all like a laugh and a joke on here but most of us have the common sense to show some restraint when a member is posting about a particular health problem.

I was also happy to ignore your 'funny?' post, but I thought the "Get a Life" comment was uncalled for.

My response was directed to someone who brings nothing to the forum, other than to wait to 'have a go' at someone elses post.

I saw a programme on about this problem and what you have to endure is horrible. They tried to demonstrate the sounds that you have to live with and it was not something that I would not wish on anyone. The nearest I can get to imagining what you endure is someone continuously playing loud music and it never stops. I certainly do not find any fun in what you are suffering.

I admire you all for just for getting on with life.

It is not the first time that this guy has tried to make fun of people's health issues. I read on another issue someone was asking about antibiotics and the only stupid contribution he could make was to go to Tinkerman and get antibiotics that are given to animals. If I was him I would not give up the day job as he would never make it as a comedian.

High pitched scream, varying volumes, with occasional clicking.  Right ear only.  Started last year after ear infection/allergy.

I might have chuckled a little if you had then gone onto say you were a sufferer too. It's a bit like making a joke about a man with one leg missing in a room full of amputees - if it comes from someone with a leg missing then it's probably OK - otherwise you risk being heckled  :)

Mine's a constant high pitched whistle in my left ear and a pulsating high pitched one in my right ear. I'm lucky that I can 'switch it off' at times but funny enough when someone asks me how it is (or someone posts on CBF  ;)) then it comes back :( It's one of the reasons I stopped going on the BBC deaf and hard of hearing forum as it's impossible to forget it if you are being constantly reminded.

OK guys - lets get back on topic now otherwise we will just have a slanging match on here. I don't want to see this one locked as I'm sure there are quite a few members who suffer from this.

Going to cut the grass now and hopefully forget about the noises in my head.
