Sue,
I had a friend stay in our villa Last 2 weeks and they returned on Friday as normal, they were aware of them going into administration but said it did not change anything. The flights were ATOL protected so in this case the CAA step in and take over with regard flights, they will have details of those that are in Turkey, as they will have had all the information passed to them from the tour operator H4U. This only applies to those with return flights as it is an obligation as only one part of journey has been made. Unfortunately in your case you made 2 separate bookings so the first one has been fulfilled but the second has not started yet. It is ATOL protected but it is the same as those that have future bookings cancelled.
We were going book seperate flights last year but after goldtrail going decided best to have flights with same airline.

Hope you manage to sort something out.

David

Sue just got this message from a friend on FB think you may have seen it,but if not:-. Jackie just checked the caa web page again and they've updated it flight are going to be changing after 11th aug! And anybody who booked a 1 way from turkey to Uk will not be repatriated and are advised to make alternative travel arrangements! And make a claim with atol! :(

Sue,
Just checked the website and confirms what I said, the actual wording is as follows;

Passengers who purchased one way tickets with Onur Air from Turkey to the UK are not included in the CAA's repatriation operation, and should make their own alternative arrangements.  Some customers may be able to get a refund for their original flight from the ATOL Scheme or their credit card issuer.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

Sue, Please don't panic I am sure it will be fine.  I am sure it means if you booked DIRECT with Onur air - not if you booked with Aegean.

I truly believe that it what it means.  All they will know is the numbers and names of people on each flight returning.  They will have been given the flight lists from Aegean and you will be on it!

This statement is aimed at people who have booked direct with Onur Air - they are on their own and not part of the Aegean flights.

The problem though is that for all the CAA know People with 1 way homeward flights may not even be in or get to Turkey yet so they dont know if there is still a requirement for the flight.

Still not clear cut, far from it.
As we know, it is not possible to purchase international flight tickets with Onur Air direct, only internal flights within Turkey.
So for Sue and others (as already pointed out on previous postings)Onur Air flights, even one way from Turkey to the UK can only be purchased via a tour operator or if another UK based flight company have either charted an Onur Air flight or some of their seats.

This is all so confusing
Our friends are on one-way tickets with Onur on 25th August booked through Aegean.
Ray drove out and Kim flew out with us on ThomasCook.

We have tried to make telephone contact but not had much luck.
They are going to wait another week and then try and make contact again and see what needs to be done to achieve flights.
As long as they are back in the UK by 5th September then all should be well.
We will also keep checking on here for any other helpful comments etc.
