Title: Puppies...what a shame.
Post by: Jacqui Harvey on June 19, 2016, 19:12:24 PM
We were in Oludeniz last week and on walking around we noticed a young puppy tied up in the heat outside a shop with no water and no shelter.    Later down the road we saw another one.
These shops are taking this puppies and putting them outside to attract tourists.  At the end of the season they will be abandoned.
Please ignore these puppies do not make a fuss of them.  I hope if there is an Animal Aid in this area they will go and take a look.  I felt so sorry for these puppies.

I hope you don't mind but have copied your comment and posted on Animal Aid Ovacik site.  I'm waiting on the comment to be approved and replied to.  As things stand, if these puppies are owned, there is very little Animal Aid can do of their own volition, other than advise and in serious cases report  the perpetrators to the authorities.  Will get back to you on this.

So, so difficult to ignore these puppies.

3 C's takes precedence for my spare pennies but this is tearing at the heartstrings stuff.

Guess we have to just - let go....

I probably spend more on a posh meal for two than it would take to keep one for a year.

Jacqui - ouch!

Disgusted to hear about this, whatever makes these people think a puppy tied up outside will attract tourists into a place?
