On the 31st of March I broke the news of plans to build a dolphinarium in Olu Deniz/Hisaronu and today, 5th September I can confirm that the 'facility' is closed and will not reopen. Born Free will take care of the immediate future of Misha & Tom.
The Sunday Express runs the story as "Dolphins Saved by British Expats" tomorrow and while we must not think like that - the Turkish support has been amazing - I personally want to pay tribute to the Dolphin Angels, the tireless work of "our" Nichola, to Born Free who walked forward as so many dolphin charities stepped back, to Helen Worth who put our 'little' story into the biggest newspaper in the UK as only a celebrity can do, to Donal MacIntyre who took it up a gear to British television and to every person who marched for Misha and Tom, and those who showed their support on CBF and Facebook.
Make no mistake, if we all just accepted it, they would still be facing the rest of their lives in a human built prison. What has happened this weekend happened because of what we did. Not just the Helen Worths and the Donal McIntyres - YOU.
I don't see that I did much but I am proud to call myself part of the group that shouted disapproval and didn't let it just happen. I hope you are too. I am ashamed that Turkey allowed this to happen at all - I am ashamed of Kerametin Yilmaz for allowing something akin to bears in chains to drag our beloved Turkey back generations, I am ashamed of Seaside Tours and Hamish McTurk for their support and ticket sales that prolonged the agony of Misha and Tom and ashamed of Nadia's Bar for their unwavering support and later disrespect of the peaceful protest march by turning up their music to try and drown out the speeches. I hope nobody ever forgets who supported and in doing so prolonged this barbaric imprisonment.
But this isn't about negative feelings, I'm proud of every tour operator who refused the lure of the dolphin lira, to every bar that turned their music OFF for the peaceful march and proud of what was ultimately achieved.
This is one of the most important days in the history of CBF - well done everyone.

The only thing to add to this is A HUGE THANK YOU to you Scunner for the work you too put in to spearhead this campaign on CBF. With this support and Facebooks ever growing membership we achieved the seemingly impossible dream. A proud day for all. Let the celebrations begin. :) :)

-
Great news, especially now the dolphin pool is empty, I am going to take it over and start my Hisaronu man eating Alligator attraction. I will be inviting some of those named in Scunner's post to come along and take part in the opening night.
-
The best news I have heard all year. There are not enough words to express the thanks we must give to those who worked so tirelessly to free the dolphins. I walked past the (ex) dolphinarium on my usual route to work this morning, and knew what had happened right away. The rest of my walk to work was complated with a huge smile on my face and a tear in my eye. Wishing Misha and Tom a swift recovery from their ordeal, and many happy years ahead for both of them.
-
Safe journey to you both Congratulations to all involved especially Dolphin Angels.
And lets not forget to carry on supporting nadia,s Hamish and seaside for their support throughout Misha and Tom,s ordeal NOT.
-
Congratulations to everyone, this is the definition of team work and what can be achieved through hardwork, determination and diplomacy. Thank you for this new thread Scunner, from now on CBF will be a pleasure for us to read as we follow the progress of Misha and Tom
-
This is just the best news. Many, many, many thanks to all involved in freeing these 2 wonderful dolphins. The jazz concert is going to be a massive celebration now!!! Words cannot express how happy we are this morning. Fantastic ;)))
-
Well done to everyone involved - what a great result!
-
Thats fantastic news ,was so happy to have been part of the rescue process :)
-
magic :D
-
Glad to hear the good news. :D
Thanks also to the Turkish people who supported the fight against this awful place.
-
How FANTASTIC is this news. Well done to the Dolphin Angels, Scunner and everyone who petitioned, emailed, wrote and demonstrated on behalf of Tom & Misha.I am not ashamed to say that the wife and I are weeping tears of joy.
-
Brilliant news, well done to all involved
-
With so much sorrow and suffering in the news at the moment it was brilliant to wake up to some cheerful and happy news today.
Scunner, I must say that your opening statement on the 1st page was just hit the nail on the head. The words and expressions were celebratory and somber but not arrogant.
-
Well done everyone.
-
Words cannot express how I feel today ... Thankyou so much, Keith, dolphin angels, animal aid and all the amazing people who have supported this from the very start.
What a force to be reckoned with we all are.
Just amazing happy happy news.
Xxxxxx
-
Congrats to all involved, job well done.
-
Well done to all that contributrd to this effort, especially those that must have put their lives on hold for tha last 6 months or so to dedicate to this cause. :)
-
Sobbing my heart out with joy here, I know wont have those awful gut wrenching pangs in my stomach whenever I thought of Misha and Tom which was daily. It just goes to show that if something is so terribly wrong you just shouldnt accept it. My small part of joining the prtoest march and emails was minimal compared to the mamouth uphill fight the Dolphin Angels and all the organisations faced. A united force is a powerful weapon in war. Well done all of you and cant wait to see the progress of Misha and Tom in Freedomland. Cement factory, Dolpin Pool whats next:D
-
Well done to all involved - fantastic news
What has been for me personally a week of bad news has just been made a little better
-
Well this is great news its been a long fight i can only say to all CBS members and others who have supported the campaign especialy those at the sharp end you have my admiration
-
Well done everyone, especially the Dolphin Angels.
That's the best news of the year!!!
-
A huge congratulations to everyone involve. But this is not over. Join us in another adventure. Just as exciting and emotional as the last.

-
Well done to everyone who took on this fight. Battle won but the war goes on against these cruel people. I see Born free are spending £150k on this and need donations. Could we set up a CBF fund to help or is it best to donate direct?
-
UPDATE: As of 7am our time the dolphins were put into the back of vans. One each with all the equiptment for the journey. It will take about 5 hours to as far as they can go by road. Then it will be a short trip in a boat out to the sea pens.
I will update with further news as it comes in. Don't worry they are in safe hands now.
-
Thanks Jamsponge! That is excellent news.:D
-
Great post Keith, well done all, especially Nicola and the Dolphin Angels, marching in the protest march was one of the most emotionally powerful moments of my life, and today's news is some of the happiest !!our prayers answered "Om Mane Padme Hung" !!

-
Fantastic news..well done to everyone, but especially Nicola and the other Dolphin Angels and also all the Turkish people who supported this campaign. Also let us now not forget to carry on supporting all the companies that refused to sell the tickets and supported the campaign. On the other hand let us not forget who did not support this campaign..
-
Jane Akatay's article (with dolphinmobile photo!) at Hurriyet: http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/n.php?n=tom-and-misha-the-two-bottle-nosed-dolphins-finally-heading-back-to-the-sea-2010-09-05
Superb piece Jane.
-
And joyful news shared by Jeff Taylor at the Economic Voice website. Jeff has written several times about the plight of Tom & Misha.
http://www.economicvoice.com/tom-and-misha-turkish-dolphins-are-free/50012842#axzz0yep84c00
I've posted so many links to news sites about the dolphins, it feels great to be posting good news links finally :D
-
Brilliant news ...i wish misha and tom a speedy recovery in rehab...well done everybody
-
blubbing like a baby - been useless for the last 24 hours, hoping and praying !!!
Tinx / Nicola : I, and I am sure many other people would like to contribute more to the rehab fund. Is the best way to go via the BornFree website, or is Animal Aid still fund raising (via paypal) ? God, its times like this I wish I was a millionaire....I'd donate the bloody lot.
Thinking of Misha and Tom - on their long journey. Still praying for them both for a speedy recovery and wish I could see the looks on their faces when they sense their freedom and regain their energies. xx
-
Yes everyone, Brillant
-
Well done all, thanks for all the hard work done by DA and the CBF gang, it was worth it in the end.
-
Brilliant news and well done to everybody that took part in this campaign to get them FREEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

What fantastic news! Well done to everyone involved, but in particular to the Dolphin Angels, Scunner, and all on CBF who have campaigned tirelessly to help release these beautiful dolphins.
Well done everyone! Misha and Tom are going to love it when they realise what has happened later today! Great to see some of their friends ready and waiting for them!!! :D
-
Im just reading this on my way home from an emotional day at Monkeyworld reading about the awful conditions some of the monkeys were kept in before going there. Was thinking about Tom & Misha while there, hoping they would also end up having better lives & hey presto I see this.
Truly the icing on the cake for my wonderful day.
Thanks so much to everyone who has been involved in achieving this brilliant outcome.
-
WELL DONE ALSO TO TOM & MISHA FOR MANAGING TO STAY ALIVE IN ALL THAT FILTH.
IF IT WASN'T FOR THEM,,, SO MANY FRIENDSHIPS WOULD NOT OF BEEN FORMED, AND PEOPLE GETTING TO KNOW EASH OTHER,,, ALL FOR THE SAME CAUSE. WELL DONE TO EVERYBODY THAT HELPED.XXX
-
well don everyone one i just got back this morning and it was just he news i needed.
-
Fabulous news! Only just seen this-can't believe they have actually come to the end of their misery at last. Well done and thank you to all concerned!
-
Lets also thank the 21500 people on Facebook. Who did nothing but COPY , PASTE , SEND emails for months.
-
What very good news and well done to you Scunner for high lighting the topic about the dolphins. Its paid off big time.Great result.
-
Wow wow wow! amazing! I was in the bay of Biscay over the past few days, seeing the wild dolphins and whales, my thoughts were with Tom and Misha and dolphins suffering all over the world. I can't say how incredibly grateful I am that Tom and Misha are on their way to freedom. Thanks to everyone who has been and is part of this journey!
-
Lets show our appreciation by supporting the fund raising events that will pave the way for the rehab to be successful.
-
Woot, woot.
Just got in from work and am still trying to take it all in.
Well done to everyone involved.
-
Fantastic news............. we've had so many dolphins swimming in the bay this year - I wonder whether they will follow Mischa and Tom to their new home or stay. I'm sure that the dolphin word is out - people in this area prefer their dolphins in the sea - well done to Nichola and everyone who has played any part in getting this result.
-
Saw it earlier on FB. Brilliant news, massive congratulations to all concerned :D
-
Great result after all the hard work of people from many areas and a special thanks to all involved directly
-
hello there all. just a little mixed up here... is it opened or closed. i work at one of the hotels at çaliş beach and some of my customers are telling me it is still opened !!
charging 250 tl to see them for 10 mins..and 150 tl for a cd of the place.
what is really going on !!! i tell my customers about it and not to go there but there is only so much i can say. i have also asked for some posters..t-shirts..money box for donations...and etc..and still nothing. please get back to me... thanks...
-
It is closed and the dolphins are not there. Anyone paying 250 TL to swim with them is being conned, and they probably deserve it [:o]

-
Which company next to your bar is selling tickets?
-
Best news ever - this made my day/week/year when I heard last night!!! I actually whooped my excitment!!!
We're off to Olu Deniz a week today, after booking in January, and I have followed this story constantly, and tried to do as much as I could from here (Scotland), since the story broke in the early summer season.
I am so, so, glad that Tom & Misha will no longer be in their hell-hole.
Well done everyone involved!!!
Lxx :) :) :)
-
My apartment is 100 yards away. the dolphins are gone. The place is closed, no-one on the gate to take money. End of chapter., Beginning of rehab.
Scunner, great opening post, one of your finest

there were couple of 'morons'on my facebook they live in Marmaris
and went swimming with a couple of dolphins somewhere on the datca
peninsular when I challenged her over going what the hell was she
playing at she came back at me with " oh they are very happy and
they are kept in a sea pen" I said who told you they were happy the
fat russian that took your money... I then deleted her! but I think
they are somewhere near Hisaronu (the other one)
-
There are at least three other 'swim with dolphin' attrractions on the south coast, out towards Alanya, we saw them on our recent road trip, they looked more 'professional' than the one at Hisaronu, not that I am condoning them. The one at Kas is closed, i believe.

here is an up date from the Born Free Site...

hamish mc turk. still selling tickets here. i had a few of my customers here today ask. i had to hear it for myself.
thanks for the info...
and i really hope its true !!! good job all !!
-
Thanks brianthegardener...fabulous!
-
Where is the the temporary home for the dolphins[?]
-
I think Mr Mcturk needs to be given a wide berth in future.
Great to see the dolphins back in the sea :)
-
I was wondering that Brian, in fact i read somewhere they were back in the sea, or did that mean in the temporary pen in the sea......only curious, and so so happy for those lovely lovely creatures...
-
I'm sure I read somewhere they were moving them to an area called Gokova, which is Bodrum way. Cannot find the article now...did I dream it?? Anyway the area looks stunning. Just delighted they are out of that hell-hole at last!
-
Rings a bell with me too :)
-
I think the final destination has been kept vague in order to allow Tom and Misha peace and tranquility to get over their horrendous experience.Big pat on the back to all of us who fought so valiantly to get our boys released. Born Free will keep us updated as to their progress in the future. There is now a new campaign to free all captive dolphins in Turkey for thos of you who like a challenge.
-
I think this whole campaign has opened a lot of eyes to the cruelty and unhappiness that these beautiful creatures have to put up with. I for one will continue with supporting the campaign - it has become very close to my heart and something that I now feel very passionate about.

I'm not sure which is worse - selling trips to swim with the dolphins or selling the same trips knowing the dolphins aren't there anymore!!!
Hamish McTurk's reputation goes down even more - who would have thought that was possible...
-
Just watched the actress Helen Worth (Gail on Corrie) talk with Lorraine Kelly about the dolphins and her joy that they are free.
:D
-
just saw Gail from Corrie on Lorraine talking about dolphins Tom & Misha and apparently they know where their family pod is so when they are ready they will be able to be reunited! She was so passionate about it, feel very teary now!
-
Fantastic!!! We are in H now and heard 2 days ago but didnt know whether to believe it. Just got on here now to see its true! Well done everybody!
-
Well done everyone excellent news!
-
Fantastic news, well done to everone involved.
Tom and Misha brought lots of people together, and i for one felt very proud to be a tiny part of such a great cause, the day we did the silent walk will stay in my memory for ever.
Be happy Tom and Misha xx
-
There is little that I can add to this that has not been said already.
We all dreamed for this result, today our dreams were realised.
Well done, and congratulations to everyone that played a part in achieving our ultimate goal.
"It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do little - do what you can". ~Sydney Smith
-
The Dolphin Angels team here on the ground would like to thank every single one of you, all "Dolphin Angels" whoever you are whatever you did to achieve our one and only goal to free Misha and Tom.
There are too many people to mention by name no one person more or less important than another; we know who we are and what we have achieved.
Never doubt the role you played or underestimate the power we yield when we act as one.
Believe in the power of you and I and anything and everything is possible.
Thank you one and all :)
-
Another article in todays Sun newspaper about the dolphins :)
-
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3129045/Dolphins-freed-by-The-Sun.html
name some of the team on the ground in the photo if you can... ;)

is it kerrametin and ivor bolokov?
-
From the comments section:
"and turkey wants to join europe.... god help us.
0 0 4:48AM, Sep 08, 2010"
And that is the long term effect for Turkey that so many will take from this. They let a Russian do so much damage to the reputation of Turkey across the globe. Who were the winners in this sorry episode - nobody that I can think of.
-
So pleased that the dolphins are freed. But can't help thinking if they came from Kas where they were captive for ages, why nobody in the local community helped them down at Kas. Well done indeed the response in record breaking time for all those involved locally here and of course worldwide. Maybe the local authorities that gave the go ahead and the russian exploiter will help or donate to the cause of the dolphins well being.
-
Many of our stalwart members are from KAS and they worked really hard to help free them, like us they did not want them brought here in the first place.
-
And sadly I think it took them to be tossed into a crumbling tiny pool in a nightclub zone to make a news story the papers would be interested in.
-
"Exposed by the Sun".....in June???????? It was ongoing in this Forum 3 months before June. So what did they expose[?]:(
-
So absoultley made up to hear this fantastic news, well done to everyone that has made it possible for Micha and Tom,lets hope it is all uphill for the boys now.
-
Downhill surely Karen :D
-
Now on You Tube so those in Turkey can watch via www.ktunnel.com
ok link won't post properly so please go to FB group page and check via link there and it is also in the video section.
-
Just catching up with CBF after being away in France for over a week.
Am absolutely delighted to read that the dolphins are now free from their prison and being cared for before being released.
Well done to everyone who has played a part in this, however large or small, you have done a fantastic job.
Enjoy the party! :D Wish I could be there :(
-
Scunner your posting at the start of this thread brought more tears to my eyes, I found it very moving, everyone that cared about Micha and Tom has played a part in their release but CBF has played a fantastic part in helping to make this happen we love you Micha and Tom and CBF we love you too, well I defo do.Well done everyone, still cant believe the boys are really free and are going to be looked after and cared for it has been an amazing outcome.
Please long live CBF xxx

-
Well done to CBF, once again. great stuff.
-
Joanne is the lady who started the Face Book site
Free the Oludeniz Dolphins
-
Great article about Joanne. It is 150,000 GBP that we need to safely rehabilitate Tom and Misha. We have been part of this success story so far, lets continue to make it a happy ending, by all digging deep, checking pockets, up-ending sofas and picking up the odd coins we see lying around. Remember every little helps. Last night jazz night was a huge success, thanks everyone for all the support, long may it reign!
-
Agree Rosy, great article...and what a brilliant night it was last night!!! We had an absolute blast. Music was just excellent and the atmosphere soooooo laid back.
-
Glad you had a great time, we certainly did 8), great venue, great atmosphere and great music and we also made a bit of money for the cause along the way:D ;)
-
so jealous, would love to have been there. So pleased it was a success and looking forward to photos.
-
Obviously you got back OK Andy...did you have to scoot??? There was loads of room on our minibus at the end of the night as some of the party went home really early :o
-
It really is fantastic!
-
I have posted photos on FB - please tag your own.
When I have full details of other stuff like exact amount raised by raffle I will post under the Celebrate Tom and Mishas Freedom topic.
I am about to post an incomplete list of raffle winners as I have no contours and some people are having some time away from their computer ;)

Things can only get better now they are where there are with the care and love they deserve.... Thanks so much Nichola.xxx

Just back from Turkey this morning. I was delighted to hear I was not sharing the resort with Tom and Misha.
To celebrate the news last sunday I had a swim in the sea thinking how it must feel for them to feel the power of the waves again.
Then I had a few drinkies!!!!!!!!! ;): :) :):D 8)

Buy early for xmas

-
Surprising how many people don't know what is going on.
When we were over this time we spoke to two English families in the Villas on our little complex. We were amazed that none of them had heard about the Dolphins. In fact, one lady who has been coming to Calis for the last 6 years and spends two months in the Summer was shocked when I told her, she also had not heard of the Forum. She said she will have a look as soon as she gets home.
The good news is both families are now really keen to help.
-
I found that too Jacqui. I had to give a few lectures on my hols.
-
Well done what a brilliant amount for the raffle, got to be an all time record!!!
-
There has been another update on Micha and Tom's progress after their journey to the sea pen on London tonight with Donal, it is amazing to watch them being put back into the sea, the link is on Facebook if anyone wants to see it sorry I don't know how to post links.
-
Not sure if this will work but here goes

-
Well done Heather just tried it out and it does work!
-
Thats a fantastic amount of money raised for dear Tom and Misha.....I watched the video on the journey and the release to say it brought a lump to my throat is an understatement...It must have been amazing to have been there Nichola.....just amazing.
Is there any news on how Tom is Nichola, as he was not responding as well as Misha?......xx
-
My brother who has literally just become a granddad to twin girls is working on the You Tube and video for the FB group for those of us here in Turkey who can't view the London Tonight programme.
I hesitated to ask but mentioned it anyway, he's got it down to a fine art apparently and this time we won't hear his mobile ringing in the background. I was wondering whose it was!
The girls are to be called Rosie and I suggetsed Ameera for the other so lets see if they go with my choice ;)
I am sorry to say that Tom still isn't responding as well as Misha so we must say our prayers or send him lots of positive energy
-
That is good news for your brother Great Aunt Nichola xx Hope they are all well.
Bad news about Tom though. Sending him positive thoughts.

I have never encouraged the use of auntie and Nichola in the same sentance so please know that great auntie is definitely a big no no
Also Granddad says he'll do the London Tonight programme "first thing" and he has to do it on the lap top cos sound quality is an issue - so much for having it down to a fine art ;)
-
Good news about your bro!
Hope and pray Tom's health improves soon. He deserves a happy life after all he's been through.

Read the update on Tom and Misha Nichola...sounds great.
Is it the acrylic that you are talking about that is on e bay at the moment for £50?, is the print actually in the UK or Turkiye?. x
-
Hi June there is an acylic print listed by paul smith £50 and Louise 's dad has done an oil painting.
There are a couple of bids on the painting last time I looked.
The link to the painting is on the FB group (link works) and based on the groups current profile picture but jazzed up a bit.
He did all sorts of research into the correct colours and used a bit of artistic license to make the whole painting very appealing. Also the background is actually very similar to the actual background.
Oh and I believe under the oils there is acrylic. I do know he has spent many hours on this so hopefully will sell for a price that does his work and effort justice too.
-
Sorry June forgot to say both the print and the painting are in the UK... :)
-
Thanks Nichola found it....are the proceeds from both going to born free for Tom and Misha?.x

yes, all funds to Born Free, Louise and Paul have both liaised with Joanne, Born Free fundraising team about the best way to have the funds directed to them.

-
I think it's something we should all be really proud of, whoever is taking all the credit for it now, it started at ground level with a massive effort from the local people and fantastic support from our friends and relatives overseas.
Well done to everyone that became involved whether it be hands on or showed support from afar. ;)
-
What a difference a Year makes!
-
I think we need some clarity regarding whether the dolphins are open to visitors or not. I am one of the admins on the fb page and
have received many messages from wellwishers and supporters who feel entitled to see them. Although the need for them to be kept private seems justified, it sends out the wrong message when people openly write about visiting when there are so many people who equally have earned the right to see them. I think this is something BF and others need to clear up quickly as the tourist season is upon us already.
-
The site is not open to the general public for obvious reasons, those who know Derya can contact her and make an appointment if it is possible to see them.
The reason I openly wrote about my visit is to relay the message that they are fine to everyone who would want to see them and to everyone that was involved in their rescue and if you read the comments it was well recieved.
Andy
-
Hi Andy.
You are at an advantage then being in Turkey and being "privvy" to Derya's number but what about others who aren't and this takes me back to my original question - are the dolphins open for visitors or not? you more or less have said yes, if you can arrange it yourself.
The update you gave was great, any feedback is always well received as let's face it, news is few and far between these days.
-
I was delighted to see the Dolphins set free from that pool in Hisanoru. I am also glad and grateful to see images of them in their new sea pool and look forward to the day that they are set free. I don't feel I have "earned the right to see them". I understand that they are getting the best, in a lovely quite place. I am quite happy to know this and I have no longing to see them.
If they were open to public view it would be as bad as when they were captive in the pool with people paying to gorp at them. I think they should be left alone with the people who are looking after them, these people are doing an excellent job which we are all eternally grateful for. The fewer people who visit them the better as far as I am concerned. In the long run what we ALL want is for them to be back in their natural environment with no humans around. We have all donated and done our bit, but this does not mean we own any part of them or have any rights to them. Lets all be glad that we helped to free the Dolphins, they are now living a happy life with excellent care and attention. I know I could not ask for more.
-
Couldn't agree more with Jacqui - they need to be left in peace, thats what we all campaigned for. Flipflop, I can't believe your comment 'earned the right to see them'. Surely we all worked for their benefit, not for earning a right! I'm pleased some members who work long and hard for all animals welfare have been priviledged to visit and report back to us all.
-
I had no idea that the campaign to free Misha and Tom was a competition to see who was important enough to go and see them afterwards.
-
Hold up here a minute. I said earlier that as an admin of the facebook group which has circa 22000 members, there have been MANY requests for info on their whereabouts and whether they can visit. Personally I do not want them to be disturbed as from the outset the directive from Born Free (and endorsed by Dolphin Angels) was that they be left alone, so, why now are people not adhering to that and visiting? My original post to this forum yesterday was to ask the question re; Visiting options which has now been answered by Andy who has visited and informed us of their wellbeing. The sooner these dolphins are released from being on pubic display the better. Obviously at a time when their rehabilitation and health is at it's peak. This is not by any means a competition. This is about observing the rules and having respect for the job in hand and those who are doing it.
-
There are also people who have requested and been refused. The German folk who were protesting recently had asked if they could visit when they were there and were refused. This could perhaps have been good for any campaign to see that freedom is possible with public support.
I can see where Flip flop is coming from. It is difficult to keep telling people they can't go if they see others there. Perhaps it would be best in future to just put up the pics of the dolphins. SAve a backlash.
Any news about the dolphins is always well received.
-
Agreed Heather - if the Directors of WDSF could not see them then why should anyone be as Hillside suggests "priveleged" either? WDSF and their campaign in April has made gigantic inroads in the closure of dolphinaria in Turkey. As you correctly say Heather in this instance from a scientific point of view and as part of their awareness project even a meeting with the rehab team would have been beneficial but it was a flat NO.!!
It will be a happy day for me when they disappear into the blue beyond, the image of flash photography, dead fish and playthings all a thing of the past.

great photos Nicola and a hard reminder that captivity will never pay. Thank god they are now safe and being prepared for their Nirvana.

Why don't you leave the Turks to do what they want to do? It's not your country and you should not interfere. You may feel they are wrong about the dolphins, and you are entitled to that view of course, but keep it to yourself and get on with your life (which no doubt is spent mostly in the Calis bars).
-
Nice 1st post Bill. If every one listened to people like you we would all be speaking german now! Why don't you crawl back under the rock you came from.

What a totaly obnoxious first post. You may not agree with Dolphins being born free and staying free, but THE majority of people (both British and Turkish) agree with the steps taken to ensure the future of Misha and Tom. Not all ex-pats frequent the Calis bars, and as for the interference, perhaps YOU would like to see the re-appearance of Dancing Bears!!
-
Oh Err....1st post and he wants to tell 22,000 of us that we shouldn't interfere...Shame he can't read too well to see that we interfered and the dolphins are now in sea pens awaiting their release.
Now go away and have a drink in your favourite Ovacik Bar.....
-
..............and I'll bet you trawled through the thousands of post on the forum to spout your venom on this one!!!
Can't see you being here too long Bill:D
-
As his name suggests he is full of sh*t and he is only here to stir it. Bye bye Bill.
He has not even stayed logged in to see the response, his beer is probably getting warm.

What a totaly obnoxious first post. You may not agree with Dolphins being born free and staying free, but the majority of people (regardless of nationality) agree with the steps taken to ensure a good future for Misha and Tom. As for the interference, perhaps YOU would like to see the re-appearance of Dancing Bears on the beach at Calis!! This whole Dolphin episode was ill conceived, singularly profit motivated and by raising international awareness a good conclusion was the outcome. The many good people who worked towards this outcome made many personal sacrifices one of which was an enormous ammount of TIME THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE SPENT RELAXING IN THE CALIS BARS, no doubt with ignorant, lazy people like yourself.
-
I have to say that with my "sixth sense" I had a feeling this guy wasn't for us based entirely on his registration. I let it go because you never know. Maybe his post actually is his opinion and not just a nasty post to rile people. Post 2 (if he ever returns) will tell all, and we'll decide based on that.
But my opinion at this point is with the majority, the man's a prick with nothing to fill his days but alcohol.
-
Sorry - point 2: Ignore him please - antagonistic posts are very disappointing when nobody gives a toss ;)

This has put humanity back in the forefront of us all in a very positive way. My family are extremely pleased this has been successful but its all down to everyone playing their part no matter how small it made a difference.
