Hi does anyone know where in Hisaronu or Ovacik you can get Bio gel nails back filled?
Mrs B has asked in Booty they don't apparently.
Thanks
-
Around a year ago, I asked all over the place & couldn't find anywhere. Gave up & soaked them off in the end
-
Don't think this technology has reach the area yet. Get her to soak them off and go to Booty for an acrylic set.
-
Thank you ladies I will pass that on to her.
-
I checked with Gold Finger in Hisarönü and Ovacık but they don't do this either but they do acrylics.
You can find and contact them on Facebook here

Loz here, no Gordon has not yet taken to Gel nails, just the occassional wig and dress wearing...lol last night in Hisaronu and most of the beauty shops are offering Gel Nails and Acrylics, also Minx and Shellac
-
Thanks for sharing Loz. Do you know how much they charge for shellac nail polish? Also do you know if any of the salons in Fethiye do gel nail polish?

Thanks Ladydiver and GordonA. Looking forward to receiving Loz's feedback later.

Had my nails done at Booty (the one on the same side as the mosque in Hisaronu) I have naturally long nails but needed infills to the wraps, I wanted shallac finish to the Gel infills; before entering agreed a price of £12, as the Shellac was about to be added 'Elvis' came forward and apologised for the mistake saying that it was £20, well not much i could do at this stage of the procedure so had to agree.
now it has been said thst the other Booty salon has nothing to do with Elvis, however, the lamp needed to finish my nails has to be brought over the road from the other Booty Salon? ???
Result, well, it was Ok, I am happy, not the most professional salon I have been in, on many aspects (but that is another story). My nails are acceptable and respectable, you get whay you pay for.

And me...

Thanks for the info Loz.

After today Gordon is fluent in Shellac, wraps and infills, not to memtion eyelash extentions, he was completely taken with it. If there is anything you wish to know Scunner just ask Gordon, he will be more than proficient to translate for you.

Ignore the spelling and rest, my tablet can't spell or modify post, my excuse and that is whay i am sticking to

Word of warning about these new varnishes.
Before I went to Turkey in May I got Gellux polish put on my nails. The girl filed the top of my nails to break the natural film. To say the end result was a disaster was an understatement.
There was lumps, bits missed and the tips were wearing away within a day. I spent sunday night before I went on holiday, removing the nail polish and what mess my nails ended up.
The nails have been weakened and even now they still splinter.
I am sure there will be dozens of people who have had good reports but I have heard a few who have had similar experiences.
I did speak to salon owner to warn her, and as I liked the way she cut my hair I wanted to be able to go back in. She offered to open salon on day off and redo them herself --no way!!!!!
I did get a cut and blow dry on the house the next time I got my hair done.
-
Heather I agree with you, if i had not had the original wraps in the UK (Gel) and there is no need to file the natural nail ( i think who ever did yord was not trained correctly), then Booty would have done the same to my nails. They did not offer or ask me to wash my hands prior to base coat (unprofessional) and the girl in Booty just blre on my nails, after I did note that there was dust and a fewbits unfer the base coat, but after waiting over an hor between treatments I could not have cared less.
I must say that after the good revires of this establishment I did expect more of a professional standard. I am now considering buying the equipment and doing my nails myself, I ay even train Gordon....lol
-
Loz you can buy the starter kit in Boots for £69. 99 at the moment they also have a £10 off voucher in their magazine.
Like you I have naturally long nails and had gel polish done for the first time last week . Some comments are a bit worrying so will wait to see condition of nails when it is removed.
-
I've had acrylics put on for over 30 years when they were first introduced here in the UK. I decided in April to give them up for ever and what a mess my nails were in. I've been treating them weekly ever since and only now have the ridges that the acrylic made on my nails, grown off. I was considering having Shellac or Gellux applied for my forthcoming holiday but having seen the effect that this has on a coule of my friends nails, I've decided against it. I couldn't bear to go through all the hassle of getting my nails to look good again. For those who don't know, its a form of nail polishes, cured under a UVA lamp and lasts 3-4 weeks, maintaining a high shine and not supposed to chip.
:)
-
Marggie because I have wraps over natural and then Shellac I was told all I need to do was soak in acetone dilute, then peel the Shellac, beleive me this was not my exerience this time, if it was not for the wraps they would have been scraped solid with the rough boards. My nails had groen quarter of a inch in 3 weeks, do the put baby bio in the water here..lol
I will look into the Boots offer, thanks.
-
Toky Iwill definetly be removing the polish myself in future, the gel wrap is definitely kinder to the narural nail as you do not need to rough the nail to bed it. I think much of the damage caused is by many salons still treating the Gel as if it is Acrylic.
SCUNNER, keep up boy.
-
all to hi tech for me ladies ;)
-
Loz..I have to agree with your comment about training. It was the owners daughter who had been to college. I did not even get a decent manicure beforehand.
I was so disappointed as I had a manicure and pedicure last year in Turkey and although my nails were short they looked lovely. I usually just file them myself because the job I had we were not allowed to wear nail varnish, so anything else in my view was a waste of money. (Except when my son got married but I had the varnish smudged before I reached the car :-[)
I would definitely say the kit would be the way forward if you are able to do them yourself. Could be a new business venture...."Nails by Loz and Gordon" ;)
-
Sod that! Nails by Gordon, I want to be a lady of leisure and kept!
-
I have "Gellish" on my natural nails - no filing at all to secure it to my own nails.
To remove, I sit with my nails in a special hand-shaped container heated with warm water underneath. The Gellish just dissolves after 10-15 mins and peels off leaving no mess or need to file. I have this done about every 3-4 weeks (fully replaced not filled) as the gaps where my nails have grown become obvious. The longest I've left it has been 5 weeks and the Gellish does start breaking down and chipping.
My guess is my own nails will be quite soft once removed as the air isn't getting to them but it looks so good and without it, I invariably break a nail anyway - never manage to have them all the same length.
-
Handy tip. when removing Shellac/Gellux etc, soak pads of cotton wool with acetone, place over nails and then wrap fingertops with tin foil. Cuts down on time soaking them off.
:)
-
Toky I will let Gordon know of this tip. Loz
-
Good tip Toky. Must look for a salon using Gellish Bluwise.
-
Nails done in uk lasted 3 weeks, only the fact they had grown so much dictated thatthe nails need doing again, no chips and shone like diamonds, even though i was cleanibg and doing the garden in Turkey. This second lot done on Saturday in Booty, chipped and today look awful. Definitely would no recommend them. Oh yes and nearly the same price as UK.
-
What a shame and a waste of dosh too!
-
Sickening Loz..Get Gordon trained..xx
-
My holiday nails - re-done last night.

-
That must take some work and a clever person to do that.
-
Not really Heather - the time was taken removing and re-applying the Gellish over my nails - the art work was about 10-15 mins!
I am very, very fortunate in that my daughter in law is a hairdresser and her sister a nail artist/ beautician so I get completely pampered pre-hols 8)
-
I was really hopin you were goig to say done in Fethiye, damn, will have to put up with this now until back in UK an Gordon is traned..lol

Hi Ladydiver, where is Kanguru? Sure I've seen them but can't remember where.
-
I went to Kanguru a couple of years ago as they advertised acrylic infills. The Turkish girl that did my nails had no idea what she was doing. She made the most awful mess of my nails and I even asked for nail varnish as they looked so bad. I felt sorry for the girl as she seemed totally untrained. I complained to the owner who said that she had never seen nails come out like my before and could not understand it. She still charged me and left the place quickly. Next morning I went straight up to Booty in Hisaronu and once one person saw my nails they all came to look. They were frankly, amazed. I had to get them soaked off as there was nothing could be done with them. I got a new set applied.
Now this happened a while ago, I would now give Kanguru benefit of the doubt, so perhaps the staff in Kanguru have now been trained or there are new staff. However, before I chanced it I would want to hear from someone who had actually been for nails and hear a recommendation. So please let me know if you have been and you are happy.
-
Thanks Jacqui, Ladydiver posted the telephone number and from the girl's name I think she may be British. Hopefully when Ladydiver sees your post she will give some feedback.
Will pass on any comments once I've had mine done.
-
Booty in Hisaronu trained? You have obviousy not read my post; total bunch of amatures!!! And that is not just nails, bad practise all round, eyelash and lip tattoo, dirty working area. Talk about rip off.never ever ever use Booty again and will strongly advise others the same.
-
I am speaking about acrylics, not gels. I have always gone to Booty for infills and nail art. My new daughter in law had the full beauty treatment at Booty, nails, hair, make-up eyelashes. Take a look at her on the member photograph page. In fact, we all had treatments there, so bridesmaids, flower girl and me. The hairdressers did a great job, the make up was perfect and my daughter in law still has her acrylics with no losses 18 days later. Booty had done 35 wedding up to 15th September and the place was packed, so they must be doing something right. I have no experience of gel nails so cannot comment on that. I have been going to Booty for 7 years to have acrylic infills and pedicures.
I might also say they picked up our wedding party and drop us off again for free. :)
-
Acrylics, Gel not much different, either way Shellac polish should never be filed off, this has caused damage to my natural nails, the practice and experience was so bad that I would never go back. I had Shellac polish, I chose the french as I would not trust the girl to colour, and to increase the price halfway through the process is very very bad customer service.
They are obviously connected to the other Booty as they had to send over for the machine to complete the shellac.
The bad practices where the lady having the eyelash extensions, firstly it was not cleaned and the adhesive was placed on a dirty lid then transferred to the eyes, the lip tattoo was no different, the assistant/owner poured and mixed the colour into a small pot, left it on the side and I could see hair fall into the pot where it was left next to men having shaves and haircuts, the lady having the treatment sat in the chair, knocked the pot over, the assistant rather than mix more colour scooped the colour back into the pot and using NEEDLES tattooed the lip line.
Toky asked to see my nails when we met up, she too agreed that they were indeed a mess.
-
I have to say Loz, your nails were awful. I've had acrylics done for 34 years when they first came to the uk, so know good from bad......and yours were bad! It's a pity because if they are done properly, they can look fab. I reluctantly gave up having anything done to my nails on April this year and grew my own for the first time in all those years. Was almost tempted to have shellac done while here on holiday but was put off when I saw Loz's.
-
Can only say that it's the only place I go to for acrylic infills and they always do a good job. I ask for Zenap who has been there many years. I do know that gel nails are new to Turkey and probably not the best place to get infills. My Nail Technican in Scotland always tells me that it's a problem when you get infills somewhere other than where you had the original ones done as different places and countries use different products. My girl in Scotland always hates my nails after Turkish infills as she said she can "smell" the difference and does not like the stuff used in Turkey. However, it suits me and I can honestly say has always been successful at Booty.
My daughter in law only had a problem with her eyelashes, some did fall out she had them replaced but after a while removed them herself,as she could not get used to them, but looking the Booty's Facebook page there are people singing the praises of the eyelashes saying they last for up to 8 weeks.
Also the Booty over the road is under the same ownership. I also heard this time that the shop next door to the original Booty is being taken over by them and they are extending the present business to double it's size. So, obviously, they must be doing very well and I know they are extremely popular. I am always speaking to customers who come back year after year.
-
The girl I used to go to in uk Jacqui , like your technician, would refuse to do mine on the rare occasion I got mine done elsewhere. She insisted I soaked them off and got a new set on as she couldn't guarantee a Colour or product match. Anyway, don't have to worry now
-
It was Zenap who did my nails, it was the way the polish was taken off and new administered is where the problems lie, nothing to do with the infills, I could live with that, Also the rip off Price, This is most annoying, now I know they have a FB I will let them know, they put the phone down on me. but I will always let people know what abysmal service I received if I read different.
To agree a price then increase halfway through the process increase it, and to look smug because they are only increasing it by £8 instead of £12, it is a ruddy cheek.
Yes I am fuming, and when I return to Hisaronu I will definitely let them and any future clients be aware of my disdain.
-
Does anybody know where Kanguru salon is please?
-
Went to Kanguru and had Gelish Nail Polish on fingers and toes and am very pleased with the outcome. Jacqueline who did my nails is also a Chiropodist and gave me a lovely painless pedicure. Any files or buffers used were new out of a packet and discarded after use.
-
Thanks Marggie for the update I was waiting for your reply, maybe next time I will give them a try than the rip off shop Booty in Hisaronu. Thinking back I really should have refused to pay the extra money asked half way through the process.
-
Hi Loz, they have been done 10 days now and look as good as on day one. :)
-
Had gel nail polish done three times now, once in Turkey and twice in the UK. I really like the effect but I think it has weakened my nails, they have gone from being long and strong to breaking off half way down - 5 broken to date and have had to have tips applied. Will have them done this week and once more for Xmas but after that it is back to natural.
-
After 34, yes 34 years of acrylics, I gave them up in April of this year. It took months to grow the ridges off that the tips had left, but do not regret my decision. I'll never have them on again. No matter how well they are done, everyone can tell they are not real. It was just time for a change and I'm glad I gave them up.
:)
-
No matter what the manicurist says they do ruin your own nails. The nail gets no air/oxygen to them and when you get them removed they remove layers of the nail. I only have mine done for special occasions and they are only just recovering from the last time which was July
-
How do I get creosote stains out of my designer boiler-suit? ???
