Post by: quackers on July 17, 2013, 15:10:31 PM
I had been appoınted POA for a neıghbour to sell hıs vılla for hım, he ıs too ıll to come out and sıgn for hımself. I sold through Cenk at Interturk and can I say the whole process was smooth and sımple. I was gıven a copy of how the POA should be wrıtten for turkısh government.Thıs was duly done by Solıcıtor ın UK and brought to Turkey by a frıend. I was kept ınformed all the way and was able to gıve confıdence to my neıghbour that all was progressing smoothly. The whole process took approx 3 months and today I sıgned hıs vılla over to the new owners and tomorrow I shall transfer hıs money to the UK for hım. Thanks Cenk for makıng lıfe easıer for one happy customer ın UK.

You are a wonderful neighbour to some very fortunate people. Well done! Love to meet you when we come in mid September - (don't worry, we're not planning to sell - haven't even got our Tapu yet).

Good question! 4 villas were built on the plot by our builders, DeskaGlobal (used to be Infinity Express). None as yet have their Tapu. There have been many excuses, including one to do with the subdivision of the land and problems with subdividing the services . Now I've heard that the company damaged the road near their latest set of villas being built in Ciftlik and until they fix this, no Tapus will be granted to them! To be fair, also we recently wished to add our children's names to the Tapu as well as ours and their passport copies had to be sent off - a further delay. We were told that we may get the Tapu about the end of July - but somehow I think that this is yet another empty promise.
