Does anybody know if my avea broadband sim that i normally use with a dongle will work on my 3g tablet that has a sim card slot.
-
I don't see why it wouldn't, however if the tablet is not a Turkish registered device I would suspect it would be blocked within a few days just like a mobile phone.

it works with my laptop which was bought in the uk so thought it would work with a tablet.its not a mobile so shouldnt it work with a tablet???.confused

As far as I'm aware, any device that connects to the Turkish telecoms network that isn't registered gets blocked within a fairly short period of time. They identify devices by the IMEI number, not whether they are a phone or a tablet. All devices capable of taking a SIM for connection have a unique IMEI number which is used to identify it.
Mobile broadband (especially not on TT) may however be different - I'm curious to know how long you've been using the SIM in your laptop?

I have been using my avea sim/dongle for 3 years.I know dozens of people that dont live in turkey but visit for months at a time like myself that use turkish mobile broadband dongles.

Charlste has been using the SIM in a dongle not directly in a laptop.
The dongle is Turkish so will no doubt be registered appropriately etc hence no cut off.

Ok, that makes sense.
