I was born and brought up in the beautiful city of Aberdeen. That part of the North East has it's own distinctive language known as the Doric. I thought it might be fun for members to try and guess the translation of some of the common phrases. You are free to Google "Doric" if you want or look up Wikipedia but what would the point be. Anyone who gets them all straight away will be disqualified.

"Min", as in "Ay ay, min".

"It's auld, ding it doun!" - (Speaking of buildings)
"tak a scoof"
"fou lang" (hou lang)
"for a filie"
"Jeelt"
