When our son came over from Jersey and while they waited for the furniture to arrive I  visited the salvation army store and got a lovely spotless white couch for thirty pound.  They used it till they got their stuff then donated it back to them.  Might be worth looking for one in your area.

Good Luck to you both, my Dad is having radiotherapy at the moment,:(, he has to go every weekday for 7 weeks and it's a 40 mile round trip, plus injections every 2 month but like you he is taking it all in his stride, (it'll all come out in wash) is his fave saying. . We are sooooo proud of the way he has handled the last 18 months and I am sure that anyone that knows you feels the same. Good Luck again. Lynn.

Thinking of you both, Ceni, we met Alan once on a guided walk, and as readers of the CBF we send you our positive thoughts.  My sister and I supported our Mum through 9 months of chemo and 3 weeks of radiotherapy ten years ago now.  Her best advice was to have positive mental attitude, if you can follow that then you will be doing just right.
Take care, look out for each other and you will be fine.
