For travelling to Fethiye from Dalaman via the Gocek tunnel is it still ok to pay cash at the tunnell toll booth? Another forum is reporting that tolls in Turkey are now by pre paid card only. Any info? Thanx

I get the impression from using the motorways with tolls, that they have been phasing out cash payment for some time. They only ever have 1 cash booth open, whilst all the others are for cards. Have not heard anything so far about the tunnel though.

when i drove over my three year old son who was sitting in the back of my car in child seat has on many occasions pasted the money over at toll booth and always got a big smile and a chat from operators every time.
